Fashion For Relief is a fundraising charity founded by supermodel Naomi Campbell. It raises money and awareness for important global causes that are close to Naomi’s heart, through events and campaigning.

Paradigm Design worked for the second year running with Fashion For Relief on their annual fashion gala fundraiser. The event returned to Cannes in the south of France, during the international Cannes Film Festival, with a glittering fashion show, gala dinner and after party, all in aid of Save The Children and Time’s Up.

We designed the look & feel for the event, covering a range of print and digital materials such as invites, tickets, info packs, programme booklet / auction guide, dinner menu, social media graphics and much more.

The exclusive event gathered VIP guests from fashion, entertainment and business, including Edward Enninful, Carla Bruni Sarkozy, Bella Hadid, Winnie Harlow, Paris Hilton, Spike Lee, Mario Balotelli, Craig David and HRH Prince Azim of Brunei, among many others.

Guests arrived for the red carpet, followed by a glamorous cocktail reception, art preview, fashion show, gala dinner, art auction, musical performance from Craig David and after party.

Highlights included a Dolce & Gabbana haute couture dress worn by Naomi Campbell, designed specially for Fashion For Relief 2018 personally by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

A brand new website for Fashion For Relief, launched in August 2019. Fashion For Relief is the charity founded by supermodel Naomi Campbell in 2005.

The website was launched just in time for their spectacular 2019 annual fashion show / gala dinner fundraiser at the British Museum in London.

Fully responsive and easy to update, the new website has many functions: it shows off the work of the charity, what they do, and features charity partners and causes they fundraise and campaign for. It showcases past and present fundraising events they organise, as well as featuring upcoming events and news. It forms a platform to encourage and facilitate donations from the general public, for the first time. And naturally, it drives social media activity and conversations about the work of the charity and the vital causes they support.

Paradigm Design worked closely with Fashion For Relief and Queensbury Consulting to conceive, structure, write, design and deliver the website from scratch, alongside a wider drive for much greater public and social media engagement.

Bishopsgate Institute is a non-profit cultural institute in the City of London, founded in 1895, running a busy programme of cultural events, short courses for adults and a beautiful Victorian library in their historic, purpose-built Grade II* listed building.

We worked with Bishopsgate Institute from 2012–2018 designing marketing and promotional materials, with three seasons a year. Everything from brochures, posters, flyers, leaflets, digital graphics, online advertising to in-house exhibitions.

Graphics produced for King’s College London for an information / application pack, to help develop their in-house fundraising team, having raised £610 million in their most recent campaign.

The bright infographics were designed to be engaging, informative and clearly highlight some key statistics to demonstrate the vital research work of King’s College London and some of the issues they are working to tackle.

Paradigm Design has been working for a number of years with Bamboo to develop a range of compelling information and application packs for these highly competitive roles.

SmartAVM (Automated Valuation Model) is a FinTech product developed by financial services consultancy Parker Fitzgerald, for automatically calculating property values.

We designed a logo, brand identity and website to demonstrate its benefits. The website features minimal, graphic illustrations created in-house by Paradigm Design to bring the key features to life.

The logo double chevron is derived from the parent brand of Parker Fitzgerald, which we created in 2013, to create a natural, recognisable link between the two brands.

Similarly, the brand colour palette is based on the parent brand of Parker Fitzgerald - white, dark grey and orange - in order to tie together visually, with a slightly younger look & feel, more suited to the dynamic FinTech sector.

Study Higher is a collaborative network of universities and higher education providers, delivering impartial outreach advice and guidance to young people (14-18 year olds) exploring university choices.

This project was to create a series of guides for students (and parents/guardians) thinking about educational opportunities, particularly to encourage young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to consider university. 

The challenge was to create informative guides that are clear and engaging for potential students, with a recognisable look and feel. Paradigm Design was asked to generate potential design solutions, which formed the basis for the final series of guides.

The project was led by the University of Reading and delivered by Rubbaglove creative agency. Study Higher is a partnership between Buckinghamshire New University, Oxford Brookes University, University of Oxford, University of Reading and six further education colleges.

Feedback from the client: "People are immediately drawn to them, the design is perfectly pitched for young teens and even parents are picking them up like little treasures."

Khulisa are a charity working in the UK and South Africa to help break the cycle of crime by working with young people, prisoners and ex-offenders, with mentoring and proven, effective behaviour change programmes delivered by highly-qualified therapists.

We worked with Khulisa to develop infographic visuals to help explain what they do and how they work, including their ‘Theory of Change’. Their focus on social and emotional wellbeing and self-awareness helps young people to address the root causes of challenging behaviour.

The metaphors of a tree (roots / trunk / branches) and a house (building strong foundations) seemed perfect to explain their approach and demonstrate the impact they have.

Explaining their complex processes in an engaging, relatable way has been immensely valuable in Khulisa’s communications with stakeholders, donors and the wider public, as well as the young people, offenders and ex-offenders themselves.

We worked with Chelsea Children’s Hospital (part of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London) to help bring to life and promote a Family Forum initiative for the Emergency Department – soliciting patient and parent feedback to help improve the service and experience of families.

Promotional materials for the event included posters, roller banners and flyers, displayed in the hospital as well as all local GPs and Children’s Centres, asking parents and carers of patients to be involved with the forum.

The Family Forum project was subsequently written up as a case study for presentation and discussion at a national medical conference, on how to develop community feedback to help improve NHS health services.

The 2017 annual event took place in Cannes, in the south of France, during the Cannes Film Festival. Raising funds and awareness for the child refugee crisis, supporting Save The Children.

Paradigm Design was tasked with developing the brand look and feel for the event and designing an array of print and digital graphics including the invites, tickets, event programme and dinner menu. 

The spectacular star-studded event in Cannes bought together leading figures from the worlds of fashion and entertainment as well as royalty. It started with the red carpet, followed by a cocktail reception, live fashion catwalk show, musical performance, gala dinner, art and fashion auction and after party. The evening raised over one million euros for Save The Children. 

Guests and models included Donatella Versace, Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Lewis Hamilton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Uma Thurman, Heidi Klum, Jourdan Dunn, Antonio Banderas, The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice and Queen Rania of Jordan.

Studio Wayne McGregor is the creative engine for internationally renowned British choreographer and director Wayne McGregor CBE, based at Here East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, east London.

It houses his own touring company of dancers, learning, community engagement and research, as well as fostering commissions and creative collaborations with the likes of Radiohead, the Royal Ballet, New York City Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet. Wayne McGregor is also in demand extensively across theatre, opera, film, television, music videos and fashion shows.

Shown here is a stylish digital document we created for Studio Wayne McGregor to help develop their fundraising capability, working closely with Arts Council England as well as many other supporters and donors. Designed to showcase the wide-ranging work of Studio Wayne McGregor and their state-of-the-art facilities.

An application pack for stem4, a teenage mental health charity aimed at improving teenage mental health by stemming commonly occurring mental health issues at an early stage. Typical issues include eating disorders, self-harm, depression & anxiety and addiction.

They seek to address good access to information, embarrassment and social stigma, as well as raising awareness, sharing information on recognising early warning signs and developing strategies.

In 2015 they launched their ‘Calm Harm’ app to help manage self-harm, listed on NHS digital apps and gaining widespread press coverage in the UK and USA.

Good fundraising is an essential part of growth for any charity and the application pack was designed to help make the role appeal in the competitive field of professional fundraising.

A new digital catalogue we created for Basha in 2019.

Basha are a social enterprise (charity / business), based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, who train and employ women to manufacture beautiful, traditional stitched ’kantha’ blankets and related products, as well as jewellery - usually considered a relatively high-status ‘man’s job’ that attracts a decent wage.

The products are sold wholesale to retailers throughout the world, currently in 16 countries, made in five different production centres, employing over 150 women. The range includes the trademark kantha blankets as well as textiles, homewares, jewellery, accessories and seasonal decorations.

The women are offered a route out of poverty, typically with backgrounds in sex-work or perhaps street begging. They are trained in valuable skills with work they can be proud of, while Basha also offer a drop-in centre, medical care, counselling, life skills and child-care.

Basha also work with Rohingya refugees, who have fled into south east Bangladesh from neighbouring Myanmar (Burma).

The catalogue shows off the products with beautiful photography, as well as telling the story of Basha, how they work and showing the craft that goes into each item.

THET (the Tropical Health Education Trust) exists to train healthcare workers (such as nurses, doctors and midwives) in developing countries, as a key to developing healthcare systems, leveraging the expertise of healthcare professionals and organisations in the UK. 

In the past seven years they have reached over 84,000 health workers across 31 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, in partnership with over 130 UK institutions. 

We were lucky enough to travel to Somaliland, the autonomous region of north-west Somalia (a self-declared independent state), one of the poorest and least-visited countries in the world. Working in the high-security THET office in the capital Hargeisa, Paradigm Design was asked to develop a series of infographics to highlight key achievements for 2010-2015, general graphics templates for everyday use and to deliver some basic graphic design training to the in-house team.

Square Root Digital is a small digital consultancy start-up based in London, specialising in website SEO, digital strategy and related digital services for enterprise level websites. 

Paradigm Design was asked to design the brand identity from scratch, as well as items such as business stationery. Naturally the solution had to lie in incorporating the square root symbol into the logo.

Basha is a social enterprise based in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh and founded in 2011. As a company they make and sell beautiful artisanal textiles, jewellery, fashion and accessories, much of which is designed in the UK and produced using traditional hand-made techniques. Kantha blankets and other products are made from stitched, recycled saris, softened by time.

As a charity they provide training for women (and childcare / schooling support for their children) as a route out of poverty, women typically engaged in prostitution or begging. Training equips the women with valuable textile and jewellery-making skills, either to work at Basha or elsewhere, as well as literacy and life-skills training.

Paradigm Design was asked to design Basha’s first catalogue for 2016, featuring their range of traditional stitched ‘kantha’ textiles, homewares and accessories, as well as jewellery and seasonal products, designed for wholesalers.

In the Bengali language, basha means ‘house’ and asha means ‘hope’.

We were asked to develop a brand new website and develop the visual brand identity for Altroo, a start-up recruitment company focussed on the charity / non-profit sector, connecting charities with highly sought-after professional fundraisers.

Altroo’s business concept is to reverse the hiring process, turning it on its head and making the experience much more easy, efficient, and cost-effective to connect the right people.

The website is twin purpose: targeting both potential candidates and potential clients within this niche.

We built out the brand from a clever pre-existing logo, developing the look & feel, colour palette, typography, icons and commissioning brand mascot illustrations.

A brand new, bespoke microsite, designed and developed from scratch for long-standing collaborator Parker Fitzgerald, a management consultancy for the financial services industry, headquartered in the City of London.

The microsite serves as an information hub for firms affected by LIBOR / IBOR transition, with a library of relevant documents from regulatory and industry bodies, as well as regular updates and insights.

LIBOR is the London Interbank Offered Rate, the globally accepted key benchmark interest rate for short-term lending. IBOR represents a significant new area of consulting in the industry, as the current LIBOR system will be replaced by 2021, following the recent manipulation scandal.

Parker Fitzgerald are a leading consultancy in this area, with in-depth experience and understanding, guiding many of the world’s largest financial institutions through the transition required.

The microsite look & feel has been designed to be somewhat younger, cooler and more dynamic than the Parker Fitzgerald parent site, with striking red-tinted imagery, full-width layouts, dynamic diagonals and clever responsive features to adapt each page layout for myriad screen sizes and shapes - including mobile, tablet and widescreen.

A refreshed website for 2019 for Parker Fitzgerald, a management consultancy for the financial services industry, headquartered in the City of London.

This is the fourth major iteration of the website we have completed since 2013.

The brief was to:
- Update and overhaul the website;
- Develop a lighter, fresher look & feel;
- Reflect structural changes to the organisation and service offerings;
- Improve the site responsiveness to different devices such as mobile, tablet and widescreen desktop;
- Develop a richer user experience, with additional relevant content featured throughout the site.

We made the whole website much brighter, with a more deliberate, cohesive set of images and a realigned colour palette, focussing on red rather than orange as the main brand accent colour.

Updates to the extensive imagery used throughout the site included ensuring all visuals were HD / Ultra-HD and fit for 2019.

We worked closely with financial services consultancy Parker Fitzgerald from 2010–2020, leading a significant rebrand of the organisation in 2013.

They are a risk management consultancy for the financial services industry, based in the City of London and acquired by Accenture in 2019. Established in direct response to the 2008 global financial crisis, they work with many major banks and other financial institutions, serving clients in a number of countries around the world, in areas such as cyber security and digital innovation. 

With a deeply collaborative approach we developed a huge variety of graphics together, from the initial brand visual identity to website (a number of iterations), business stationery, event graphics, reports, infographics, social media graphics and advertising.

Rokstone is a residential property agent in central London, specialising in premium luxury property. We worked with them for a number of years, first updating their logo and brand identity in 2014, plus business stationery and signage for their shop front and head office on Chiltern Street, Marylebone.

We also developed the brand identity for their sister company Rokstone Entertainment, which specialises in event production, particularly VIP celebrity events for the likes of Puff Daddy and Edward Enninful, editor of British Vogue.

The brand identity is designed to be high end, exclusive and feminine, as well as to stand out on a busy high street.

SSAFA (formerly the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) is the UK’s oldest national Armed Forces charity, founded in 1885.

Paradigm Design was asked to design graphics – an event programme, invites and tickets – for the annual fundraiser of SSAFA’s London Branch in 2017, 2018 and 2019 – a Christmas carol concert at the spectacular Guards’ Chapel, the only remaining royal military chapel in London, at Wellington Barracks in Westminster.

We designed the 84-page event programme as a keepsake souvenir – very clear, clean and minimal, with an eye-catching cover to convey the brand identity of SSAFA, as well as the themes of Christmas and the Armed Forces. The theme of the Royal Navy (subtly represented by the anchor/crown emblem) was in celebration of the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNs) centenary.

With 7,000 staff and volunteers helping more than 70,000 people every year, SSAFA provides lifelong support to serving and veteran men and women from the British Armed Forces (including the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force) and their families. Everything from welfare advice and support to housing, mentoring, adoption, disabilities support, mobility, debt advice and support for homeless veterans, offenders and ex-offenders.

Guests at the 2017 event included SSAFA President, HRH Prince Michael of Kent, performers included the Band of HM Royal Marines, while speakers included Ant Middleton (TV presenter, former SAS), Angela Rippon CBE (broadcaster) and Admiral Sir Philip Jones KCB ADC, First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff (the professional head of the Royal Navy).
